Donate gifts of expertise, time and talent to our classrooms, programs, workshops, and office by volunteering to:
• Work one-on-one with children in our educational and therapy programs
• Keep our facilities and grounds beautiful
• Prepare activities, materials and meals
• Participate on the Committees and Program management.
Even though the Ministry of Education covers teaching salaries, MMHA, cannot cover 100% of our costs without generous donations from supporters. We depend on contributions from friends, parents and other family members, corporations, and foundations to fulfil our mission. A gift to MMHA makes a difference in the life of our beneficiaries and these things possible:
• Individualized programs of education and therapy that bring self-respect and purpose to children’s lives.
• Expanded programs for the stimulation and development of adults with intellectual challenges that deliver pride and independence.
• Maintenance and improvement of our school, education tools, therapy, workshop facilities, buildings and grounds.
• Continued professional development and lifelong security for our long-term staff and volunteers.
a parent provides the monthly salary for one member of our support staff every month on an on-going basis.
a provider of janitorial, building operations and maintenance, and facilities management services provides sponsorship of a maintenance employee at no cost to the school.
a legal firm provides advice to the management and board on a wide variety of matters and initiatives.
an audit firm provides accounting support and guidance on systems and compliance to the treasurer and accounting staff.
